I’ve taken this sun faded amethyst and set it in brass. I’ve aged the setting and left it rather raw looking and unrefined.
The piece hangs from a brass rolo chain. I’ve also used an antique clasp to fasten it. The little brass clasp hinge sticks a bit but it does close, you just have to press the lever. It’s all part of the quirkiness of this piece.
The amethyst has been sitting outside for years and the sun faded it to almost a clear like quartz. I can barely make out any purple. I’ve also added tiny quartz points on one side to fill in a spot in the setting.
Chain measures just under 20” total.
Pendant is 2” wide and 1 1/2” long.
